SLFS's Jump Start "Learn To Compete" Competition Was A Great Success!
On January 23rd, 2017 we held our first Salt Lake Figure Skating Jump Start "Learn to Compete" basic skills competition at the Salt Lake City Sports Complex and it was fantastic! We will post photos from the event soon. Congratulations to all 21 skaters - who competed for the very first time - and brought to the ice great poise, skating skills, and polished performances!
Many thanks to our Jump Start coaches Lisa Kriley, Anndrea Parrish, Kelly Cassity, Shannon Bennett, Shannon Norris, Oliver Pekar, and Siani Weston who are so dedicated to each of these skaters and their progression. Thanks to Club members Stephanie Knighton, Camille Davis, Grace Lewis, Claurissa Tuttle, Robert Walton Steadman, and Laura Hutchings who volunteered as judges; to Janet Lewis for being our official photographer; and Alexis Kruel for acting as Accountant and Jump Start Chair. We’re also grateful to the staff of the Salt Lake City Sports Complex for their support and excellent facilities.
